Pack Pets

We all know that one of the best parts of learning and working from home is the extra time we get to spend with our furry family members!

Let's meet a few more of our honorary "wolves."

Gracie

Gracie the greyhound is an excellent lounger when she isn’t stealing snacks and sips of her mom's tea (CMM administrative assistant Kelly Cuppett) off the coffee table.

Frenchies

The Puppies of Enrollment Management (PEM) are planning over the summer! Nikita Milton’s French Bulldog, Harley Quinn, FaceTimes with Doug Umberger’s Frenchie, Porkchop, to bark about official LOYNO recruitment business.

Sadie

Brand new Pack member Sadie, just adopted last week from the St. Francisville Animal Shelter, made her campus debut yesterday when she joined her new mom, MarComm's Hollie Garrison, to oversee some banner installation and say a quick hello to campus photographer Kyle Encar in the Mercy parking lot.

Gus

Gus is quiet but definitely not shy about letting CMM recruitment coordinator Gloria Hill know that the day is over and it's time to go for a roll. (Yup, Gus has his very own little wheelchair for long outside walks!)

Gracie

Two-year-old Gracie loves to sport her Doggles while riding to campus with bursar Shannon Duplantis to pick up the office mail!

Adelaide, Keller and Jackson

Adelaide, Keller, and Jackson wait for word from mom Rachel Westfall, assistant director of account services in the Office of Marketing and Communications, that she's done wrangling projects for the day and it's time for the whole pack to head out for a walk!

Nola

Journalism sophomore Sofia Mongillo's pup Nola is ready for a summer nap in her Loyola t-shirt pajamas.

Charlie

Here's Office of Financial Aid assistant director Kaitlin Harper-Loendorf with her devoted work buddy Charlie! "He's 14 pounds and barely fits in my lap but he puts in a valiant effort on the daily. He is such a great help around the (home) office!"

Remi

Model goofball Remi spends mornings dictating email responses to director of enrollment operations Holly Cassard, and afternoons supervising her independant work from an especially sunny spot in the office window.

Angel

Punctual and persistent Angel ensures that Mary Musso, associate director of student financial services, makes time every afternoon for a walk away from the computer screen!

Buzz

Sophomore Gianna Ezeb adopted almost-one-year-old Buzley, a.k.a. “Buzz" just a couple of weeks ago! Gianna says, "He is a bundle of joy and energy. He has been my social distancing buddy and helped me get through the last few weeks."

Griffin and Cody

Griffin and Cody are clearly proud of their mom, Kathleen Gaines, for completing her Master of Nursing Education!

Bella

Student Felicia Morris and little buddy Bella wrapped up finals with a puppuccino/coffee break!

Gotti

At 13 years old, Gotti isn’t the most productive dog, but he does help remind law student Devlan Melancon to take brain breaks, get out and soak up some sunlight, or just lounge around on the sofa. Work hard, play hard, Gotti!

Tiki

Pumkin

Student Brooke Sumption's cat Pumpkin works hard to make sure she isn't overlooked during finals preparations.

Benny

Two-year-old Benny and 14-year-old Babs like to join student Grace Joseph on camera during Zoom classes and steal all the attention for themselves.

Peja

Peja lets student Suzanne Carson know that he doesn't appreciate all the time she's been spending focusing on finals instead of on him.

Roxies

Roxies lets student Jana Pomeroy know it's time for a study break by knocking stuff out of Jana's hand and throwing balls at her!

Violet and Bevo

Dance professor Alyssa Stover has had lots of "help" during her live-streamed dance and yoga classes from pups Violet and Bevo.

Harley

Five-month-old Harley Quinn likes to sit in on the Admissions team's morning huddle calls and help mom Nikita Milton chat live with grad students.

Marley and Mango

Curly pals Marley and Mango cheer on economics freshman Isabelle Varon while she studies on the couch.

Porkchop

Porkchop helps Admissions' Doug Umberger and friend Shannon Donaldson '14 with the official "AhWooo!" during a virtual alumni interview.

Lucy

Sweet and serious Lucy likes to keep a close eye on professor of English Kate Adams while she writes.

Beau

Beau clearly doesn’t understand the concept of social distancing, nor that he’s not a lap dog! He eagerly waits for Diane Blair of the Loyola Institute for Ministry to finish her workday along with Diane’s husband, Mike Trenchard.

BIRTHDAY BOY! Sassy, spoiled Hef is spending his 13th birthday today taking an extra long walk along the levee with his doting mom, Linda Lien-Ribardi from the Office of Marketing and Communications, before his private dinner party tonight including gourmet jerky, homemade pupcakes, and a ribeye steak.

Voodoo

First-year student Anissa Rapoza's kitten Voodoo is doing a great job helping her stay calm during her last few weeks of classes as she gears up for finals.

Lily Rosie

Lily and Rosie are keeping their mom, Financial Affairs accounts payable specialist Robin Rupp, company in every room of the house as she works from home dispenses treats.

Pack Pets: Odette

This week's Pack Pet is Odette, a beloved 15-year-old, three-legged rescue mutt. She lives near campus with Hollie Garrison, Art Director in the Office of Marketing and Communications, and although her human has technically been working from home for a few weeks, Odette still insists on spending many of her early mornings and late afternoons hopping around Loyola's grounds, guarding Palm Court against foraging squirrels and windblown litter.
